Oh! Traveller! What have you lost? is a one page combat rpg, originally painted on to A0 sized paper using Scale72 paints.  Players play an adventurer who has had something stolen from them. It was probably by one of the local monsters. But which one?

How do I play it?

Players roll some dice. You'll need a usual set of polyhedral dice, and a willingness to truthfully record your scores.  You'll do this with a pen/pencil and some paper most likely.

Roll a D12 three times, these are the monsters you'll fight. You can choose the order, but the last one always has what you're looking for.

Roll all dice at once – your D20 to hit dice, your D6 damage dice, their D10 to hit dice and their (differently coloured, hopefully!) D6 effect dice. Follow the instructions until someone is dead.

Take the reward, move on to the next monster until you win/die.

Why did you make this?

I had planned it to be a very quick and silly experiment in making a dice game. I intended to submit it to several 'art on paper' exhibitions and hope someone bought it as art and hung it on their wall, therefore making it a kind of conceptual piece.

I don't think anyone wants to do that, so you can grab it on this page instead.

Version notes

22/12/2020 this is the initial version of the image captured on an iphone. I will, when I work out how, make a pdf version that's designed for easy printing and use. Until then, zoom in?

The free form quality of this layout gives off great energy. Very nice (big) little RPG! Lots of fun ideas, and some neat handwriting to boot. Favourite creature: Christopher

Have you thought about making a txt file of the game text available for download too?
